Sony A7R
This replaced my Nikon D800E! Well, I still have my D800E but it sits in the closet most of the time. Picture quality is about the same as my D800E, yet it's 1/4 the weight considering lenses for Nikon are heavy too. Both are full-frame and 36MP cameras. Sony has more bells and whistles including wifi, HDR, smile recognition, face registration, apps, iPhone control, tilt screen, etc. Only things that the Nikon is winning is autofocus and lens availability (which is huge, I know). But, having much smaller, lighter full frame camera is so nice. I can fit so many accessories, lenses and cameras in one bag and travel/fly. I don't need to drag multiple bags or spend hours deciding which lenses to leave at home.
For landscape shots on tripod no full frame camera is better than this one. I print 30 x 60 inch prints and I have no problem at all. The shutter is cranky little bit and gives little bit of shake, but at normal shutter speed more than 1/60 or so, it's not a problem. Oh by the way, for some reason, the camera likes the 1/60 shutter speed when in the auto mode. I wish the standard shutter speed is little faster since I like taking my son's pictures all the time and it requires a faster shutter speed. I usually set it 1/200 in the "S" mode. But, I usually use Sony A7S for portraits and indoor shots. For rest of the time, I like this for landscapes.
I really like the view finder. What you see is what you get in JPEG with electronic view finder (EVF). This is not the case in DSLRs. These mirrorless camera went a long way and master the EVF. Whatever the adjustment you make, it will show up in the view finder so I don't need to take pictures in Raw most of the time.
One biggest drawback is it's not as sturdy as Nikon DSLR. I dropped it once and my EVF broke. That never happens with Nikon.
